Ojos Bonitos Diaries
Giving Myself a Break
I thought this week was going to be a tight one, as it usually always is because of the December rush, and I was prepared to brace myself. But here we are, at the end of it, and surprisingly, it turned out to be more relaxed than I expected it to be.
A Good Enough Reason to Appreciate
When quarantines started, I had to make sure to position all my tasks that demanded me to be out of the house all on one day. This would help me be more hygienic and less tired. I didn’t want to take a bath more than necessary, which meant I should only have one exit and entrance within the same day. It became customary to only go out once or twice in the week, and anything more than that would just be tiring and even excessive.
A Welcome Kind of Hope
And just like that, the last month of the year is impending. How does time fly so quickly? One minute we were just in this weird situation thinking it would last weeks or a maximum of a few months, and the next moment, we’re ending the year still in quarantine.
Benefits from these Weird Times
It really seems as if things are back to normal. There’s more and more traffic, restaurants are mostly filled in terms of seating capacity, people are in malls again, and there are more out-of-towners now. In a way, I guess it’s a good thing that people are getting a taste of normalcy again.
Sleeping in and Generosity
I love the sense of freedom elicited from not having to wake up with an alarm. I gift myself these kinds of days at least once during the weekends. I got two of them for this one weekend, and it’s a different level of fulfillment. I want to continue to revel in my worthiness of sleeping in when I want to.
